1931 Durham , April 14- A very pretty wedding took place in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Ledingham, Queen Street North, on Saturday at 12:00 when their only daughter Jessie Victoria, became the bride of Mr. Howard Noble Lawrence , son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Lawrence of Durham. The ceremony took place under a floral arch and was conducted by the bride's pastor, Rev. WH Smith B.A. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a dainty becoming gown of pale pink georgette and carried a beautiful boquet of carnations and ferns and wore the gromm's gift ,a necklace of white gold. The young couple were unattended and Lohengrins's wedding march was played by the groom's sister, Miss Myrtle Lawrence. The dinner table with its beautiful three storey wedding cake, flowers and tempting viands was surrounded by the guests which were the two immediate families, and waited upon by the groom's sister, Miss Myrtle Lawrence and the brides cousin, Miss Etta Twamley. The happy young couple left by motor for Ingersol and other points, the bride travelling in a dress of navy blue crepe with figured trimmings, a light tweed coat, with fur collar and other accessories to match. They begin homemaking on the groom's farm on the Durham Road just west of Durham.

The date inserted for the marriage to Manuela Castellanos was fabricated to allow the computer program to sort the 2 marriages of Jose Alejandro Perez. At this point (2005) there is no way to know which marriage actually came first or if any of the children belong to his other wife. Anyone so inclined may be able to find the answer at the office where baptisms and marriages have been recorded next to the church "La Santisima" in Trinidad where much of the research on the Toledos and Perezes was done. Additionally, Elvia Isern-Perez of Havana has done research on our family.
