Resting at the Kress Funeral Home, Durham, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 5, at 2 pm. Internment Trinity Anglican Cemetery.

Jemima Shippam passed away at St. Raphael's Nursing Home, Durham, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1989. The former Mary Jemima Lawrence in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Percy Shippam. Dear mother of Lawrence of Brantford. Also survived four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two sisters; Margaret, Mrs. Charles Graham, and Helen, Mrs. Anthony Seitz, both of Durham. Predeceased by one sister Florence. Resting at McCullock Funeral Home, Durham, after 2:00pm Friday until 11:30 am Saturday thence to Trinity Anglican Church, Durham for funeral service at 2:00 pm . Internment Trinity Anglican Cemetery.

Dolphin B. Lawrence, 65, of ;Durham, died Thursday in Egremont twp. Mr. Lawrence suffered a heart attack when his car became stuck on a twp. road. Mr. Lawrence was a son of Arthur Lawrence and the late Mrs. Lawrence. He married the former Jennie Stewart in Dromore and the couple lived in Durham. Mr. Lawrence worked for the Grey county works department until his retirement in 1973. Surviving are his father, one son Kenneth , Oakville, a daughter , Eileen, Mrs. Kenneth Hooper, Durham and one sister Doris, Mrs. Archie Henderson, Durham. Six grandchildren also survive. Mr. Lawrence was predeceased by his mother, two brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church, Durham.Dolphie was a county road supt. His wife Jennie lives now at Rockwood Terrance.

Many at funeral of late E.A.Lawrence
Orange Brethren, present from all District Lodges Durham, Nov. 27. One of the largest funerals in the district for many years took place on Wednesday afternoon, when the remains of the late Edwin A. Lawrence, youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Lawrence of Egremont, was laid to rest in Trinity Cemetery. The services at the home and graveside were conducted by Rev. Maurice H.H. Farr, the floral tributes were beautiful and were carried by six cousins.
Young Egremont twp. man succumbs after few days' illness
Edwin Lawrence, 22 year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Lawrence of Town Line of Egremont twp., passed away in the Durham Red Cross Hospital on Monday night , after a few days illness. Word of his untimely death will be received with deep regret by his many friends in the community in which he lived, in Durham and throughout the surrounding district. Deceased was of a happy cheerful disposition and was well liked and highly esteemed by all who knew him. The late Mr. Lawrence was born on his parents farm on the Town Line in Egremont, two miles east of Durham, on July 13, 1914. He received his education at S.S. #9 in Glenelg, and had resided at home with his parents and sister Doris, who, with a brother, Adolphus, of Glenelg twp. survive to mourn his passing. Deceased was an adherent of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Egremont, a member of Glenelg L.O.L. and a member of the Maple Leaf Community Club. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afernoon, with a service at his home at 2:30 pm under Orange auspices and internment in Trinity Cemetery, Glenelg.
