"EDWIN M MARSHALL DIED IN CHICAGO. Was a Former Well-known Young Business Man of Strathroy.

The death occurred suddenly from heart failure in Chicago on Saturday morning last, of Edwin Morton Marshall, a former well-known resident of Strathroy. Mr. Marshall was employed as travelling salesman for a manufacturing company, and Saturday morning after proceeding to the office he was taken ill and suddenly expired. Deceased was engaged some time ago in the hardware business in Strathroy for several years, being a member of the old firm of Marshall & Mason. After disposing of the store to Mr. Haney, he became interested in business ventures in Port Huron and elsewhere finally locating in Chicago where he had resided for several years. He was in the 42nd year of his age and leaves a widow and one child. The remains arrived here from Chicago on Tuesday, and the funeral took place from the residence of his aunt, Mrs. Jas. H. English to Strathroy cemetery, Rev. Rural Dean Robinson conducting the last sad rites. The pallbearers were L. H. Dampier, F.P. Hughes, M. Rapley, W. H. Stepler, J. A. Newton, and R. F. Richardson. Deceased was a member of Beaver Lodge, No, 83, A. F. and A. M. His brother, James Marshall, of Cincinnati, Ohio and his widow and sister, Mrs. Roberts, of Chicago, Ill., accompanied the remains to their last resting place."

"DYAS - DE LOM
The marriage of Miss LIzzie English Dyas, daughter of William J. Dyas, of Toronto, formerly of this town, to the Rev. Pierre Bernard de Lom, F.R.G.S., of York, England, Diocesan Secretary of the C.M.S., took place in St. Alban's Cathedral last Thursday morning at 11 O'clock. The services was read by his Lordship, the Bishop of Toronto, and the choir was present and took part in the service. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a handsome travelling dress of castor Venetian cloth appliqued with silk, and a felt hat of the same color. She carried a bouquet of white roses. Her bridesmaids were her cousins, Miss Annie Marshall of this town, and Miss Laura Marshall of Toronto, and their pretty gowns were of white organdie, with Valenciennes lace insertion. They wore white chiffon hats, and carried bouquets of pink rosese. John B. Noble was the groomsman, and the ushers were Thomas A. Dyas and Victor Dyas. After the ceremony a dejeuner was held at the residence of the bride's parents, which was decorated with asters and roses, and afterwards Mr. and Mrs. de Lom left by the steamer for Montreal, where they sail for England, and will spend some time at Harrogate on their arrival there. Mr. and Mrs. James English, Miss Edith English, and H.E. Marshall of this town were present at the wedding."
